Mr. Bennett joined Irongate in 2016 and was responsible for leading the day-to day development process of

Mr. Bennett joined Irongate from The Related Companies, a leading privately owned real estate development company. Previous projects at Related included 70 Vestry in Tribeca (designed by Robert A.M. Stern, with interiors by Daniel Romualdez), and 456 Washington St (designed by BKSK, with interiors by Rockwell). Prior to Related, Mr.Bennett worked in investment banking and private equity.

Mr. Bennett is a graduate of Harvard Business School and Wesleyan University, where he was a three-year captain of the men’s hockey team and a member of the golf team. Additionally, Mr. Bennett is the founder of the Los Angeles based charity, SOMB (“shirt off my back”) dedicated to resolving education issues in Sub-Saharan Africa. Over the last ten years, SOMB has helped send thousands of children to school in South Africa, Kenya, and Zimbabwe.

He served as Partner and Executive Director for Real Estate and Hospitality for Hermes Group in Mexico, where he oversaw the firm’s structuring, capital investment and execution of projects in the high-end hospitality and Real

Most notably during his tenure he worked on the structuring, equity investment and launch the execution of Costa Terra in Comporta Portugal, a Joint Venture between Hermes and Discovery Land Company that marked both firms’ expansion into the European market. Prior to this he led pre-construction efforts for the Four Seasons Caye Chapel Resort in Belize and El Templo, a luxury residential high-rise in Cancun. 



Together with late partner Isaac Vanderhorst, Mr. Ruiz’s firm Vanderhorst & Ruiz served as a General Contractor for ultra luxury resort, residential development and high-end custom homes. In Joint Venture with the Hermes Group of Mexico and on behalf of Irongate as the Client, he led the Construction of the Four Seasons Resort at Costa Palmas on the Sea of Cortes in Mexico’s South Baja Peninsula (Opened Summer 2019). Also at Costa Palmas, he led the pre-construction efforts for the Amanvari resort. Mr. Ruiz led the construction of the award-winning John Heah designed Amanera resort at Playa Grande (Opened winter of 2015) in the Dominican Republic, that earned the team the First Prize in the Cemex International Builders Award in 2016. 



Also at Playa Grande, Mr. Ruiz Developed and Built the extensively published Playa Grande Beach Club (Opened Summer of 2013), a boutique property designed by Cellerie Kemble, as well as Casa Las Olas and the Glitch House, award winning properties designed by NY based studio Young Projects. 



In 2008 Mr. Ruiz and business partner Fausto Reyes started CCGC, a full-service engineering and construction management firm focused on heavy infrastructure and energy projects. Through 15 years of uninterrupted service and growth it has worked on a multitude of complex  projects. The firm has managed 4 Bn+ of infrastructure projects and 1.6 Gigawatt of Wind, Solar, Coal, and LNG energy. CCGC Clients range from the largest utilities in the Caribbean, to global industrial, oil & gas and mining conglomerates. From solving complex geotechnical challenges to make projects viable, to delivering emergency power to a city in record time, CCGC has built a track record in creative problem solving and relentless execution.



In Punta Cana he worked in the Development and Construction Management of Corales Golf Community. A Hart Howerton designed residential community with a Tom Fazio designed championship golf course while at the same time working on the development and expansion of the Punta Cana International Airport, specifically the construction of its new 08-26 runway, taxiways and aprons.

At Alerzo, he leads the finance, HR, business banking, strategy and investor relations functions. Harish joined as an early investor in 2020 and the business has scaled from $1M to >$30M in volumes per month during his involvement.
